Product Description
The TRAVEL DUDE 7-piece packing cube set contains six compression packing cubes and one laundry bag. Use the different sizes to sort clothing by type or person for longer holidays, family travel or backpacking. For a smaller bag, take only the cubes you need.
2 small cubes (S): 28 × 14 × 10 cm, 80 g each.
2 medium cubes (M): 28 × 20 × 10 cm, 90 g each.
1 large cube (L): 35 × 28 × 10 cm, 120 g.
1 large cube with a separate waterproof compartment (L+): 35 × 28 × 10 cm, 180 g.
1 laundry bag: 34 × 52 cm, 45 g.
The cubes are made from recycled PET fabric and use a second zipper to compress your clothing. Mesh panels help you see the contents, while the laundry bag keeps used clothing separate. The complete set weighs 685 g. Check your bag's internal dimensions against the cube dimensions; fit and compression depend on how you pack. Spot clean or hand wash in cold water, then air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much space does compression save?
Our compression system saves around 30% of space (manufacturer claim). Close the main zipper first, then use the second zipper to compress the contents. Actual savings depend on the clothing and how you pack it.
How many items of clothing fit inside?
As a packing example, our product photos show five rolled garments in the medium cube and three larger items in the large cube. The small cube is suited to underwear and socks; the L+ adds a separate waterproof compartment.
These are examples, not fixed capacities. The number of items depends on clothing size, fabric thickness and how you fold or roll them. The 4-piece set contains S, M and L+ cubes plus a laundry bag; the 7-piece set contains 2 S, 2 M, 1 L and 1 L+ cube plus a laundry bag.
What is the volume of each set in litres?
Calculated from the published external dimensions, the cubes have a combined volume of approximately 19.3 litres in the 4-piece set and 38.6 litres in the 7-piece set.
S: 28 × 14 × 10 cm = 3.92 L; M: 28 × 20 × 10 cm = 5.60 L; L and L+: 35 × 28 × 10 cm = 9.80 L each. These are geometric volumes, not measured usable capacities. The flat laundry bag is excluded, and the L+ compartment is not counted separately.
4-piece or 7-piece: which set works for carry-on luggage?
Both sets can be used in carry-on luggage. Choose the 4-piece set for short trips and a compact packing list. The 7-piece set gives you more cubes to organise your clothing and more flexibility: use all or just the cubes you need.
The best combination depends on your bag's internal dimensions and how fully you pack the cubes. Check these against the cube dimensions shown on this page.
Have the packing cubes won awards or been recommended?
Yes. F.A.Z. Kaufkompass names the Travel Dude compression packing cube set its test winner among 14 tested sets and recommends the 4-piece set for most travellers (updated 9 July 2026). The 7-piece set placed second in the n-tv comparison dated 30 April 2026.
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap or hand wash in cold water. Let the cubes air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry; avoid bleach, harsh chemicals and ironing.
What are they made from?
The fabric is rPET — recycled polyester made from plastic bottles. It's lightweight, durable, water-resistant, and a more sustainable alternative to virgin polyester. The 4-piece set uses 8 recycled bottles. The 7-piece uses 14.
What if something breaks?
We stand behind our travel gear. If something breaks under normal use, get in touch with us and we'll make it right.
Packing Cubes or Hanging Cube?
The Packing Cubes are separate organisers you can arrange flexibly in your luggage and compress with a second zipper. The Hanging Cube is one connected organiser with three compartments: hang it up at your destination and compress it with the buckle for transport. Choose separate cubes for flexible organisation or the Hanging Cube to keep your clothing together in a hanging organiser. Check your bag’s internal dimensions in either case.
What is included in the 4-piece and 7-piece sets?
The 4-piece set contains S, M and L+ cubes plus a laundry bag for a compact packing list. The 7-piece set contains 2 S, 2 M, L and L+ cubes plus a laundry bag, giving you more ways to organise your clothing. You can take just the cubes you need. The right combination depends on your bag’s internal dimensions and how fully you pack the cubes.
Alles in allem - einfach super.
